Our community partners are invaluable to the work we do. Our friends at peer nonprofits, small businesses, and regional corporations commit time and resources to our mission, and we thank them for their care and generosity.
How can my business get involved?
We invite local businesses and organizations to propose any ideas they may have for contributing to our mission.
Here are a few ways our community partners help out:
- Volunteering Businesses dedicating their team effort and spirit is great for seniors, for us, and for you. Volunteers consistently report positive feelings after spending time contributing to our mission. Do you have new team members? Need to get your employees familiar with the community? Putting teammates together to deliver meals helps build relationships and familiarity with the people and places around town.
- Lunch-and-Learn Our Connection Café is attended by around thirty seniors every Monday through Friday. They love to participate and ask questions of presenters, and we love to bring in experts who can share health tips, nutrition ideas, and general information about improving older adults' quality of life.
- Donating Many of our local businesses sponsor our programs and operations, but a donation isn't always monetary. Our kitchen often accepts bulk foods, especially nonperishables and pantry items. Our needs vary by event, and you can check out our calendar to see what you feel you can help out with. We've had businesses serve fresh-popped popcorn, donate pumpkins for Halloween pumpkin decorating, and more.
