Dan Capone's involvement with Meals on Wheels South Texas began in 2011 when he and his children volunteered as Friday delivery drivers on what is now the Midtown route. In 2016 he made the leap from volunteer to Executive Director. He brings with him a passion for helping people, a background orchestrating organizational change gathered across a variety of contexts, and a focus on client experience as a decision driver. At Meals on Wheels South Texas, he has worked to increase program efficiency and effectiveness. In April 2019 he joined the board of Meals on Wheels Texas, and in 2021 he was elected to a two-year term as president.

Diana Alarcon joined Meals on Wheels South Texas in April 2012. as an assistant in the front office. She has occupied many roles at the agency. As Director of Operations, she assists in the management and day-to-day administration of the agency’s programs. She manages and oversees daily operations of the Mobile Meals program, she assists in the recruitment and placement of required staff; establishment of organizational structure; and delegation of tasks and accountabilities. Establish work schedules. Supervise and coach staff. Oversee daily data collection, file management, and accurate and timely reporting to funding sources.

Tina Doggett joined Meals on Wheels South Texas in June 2019. She started as the Office and Transportation Coordinator and has moved into the role of Volunteer Coordinator. As a volunteer coordinator, She actively recruits, manages, and supports volunteers. She assists in organizing volunteers so that they may provide essential services to the community, ensures that volunteers feel appreciated and recognized, and matches the volunteer’s skills and interests with the organization’s needs.

Jenny Herrera has been part of Meals on Wheels South Texas since March 2020 when she began as a delivery driver in June 2021 she was promoted to client intake coordinator. Jenny received the 2023 Service Excellence Award.

Tina Kelley began working at Meals on Wheels South Texas in September 2022. She started as the Cafe Coordinator and moved to the role of Program Services Assistant until she became the Program Services Coordinator.

Judy Guerrero joined Meals on Wheels South Texas in July 2024 as the Yorktown Senior Center Site Manager. 

Lillian Threadgill joined Meals on Wheels South Texas in July 2024 as a cook. Where she is responsible for the kitchen and food preparation for all our Congregate Programs.

Mina Rosas joined Meals on Wheels South Texas in December 2023 as a Receptionist.
